HOLÁ! Y bienvenidos!

My name is Marisol Garcia, I am a Student Midwife at Midwives College of Utah, owner and foundress of Together in Birth, LLC. and La Fuente Birth, Postpartum y Más located in Long Beach, CA on occupied Tongva Land. Together in Birth LLC  is a full-spectrum doula practice that encompasses care for families planning to become pregnant, throughout their postpartum and parenting journeys.

La Fuente Birth, Postpartum y Más,  is a safe space for BIPOC families to come, gather, uplift, and support each other in our parenting and healing journeys. Here you can find body-feeding support groups, parent support groups, parenting workshops, and various classes focused on growth and personal healing to undo negative generational trauma and its continued effects it has on our daily lives and parenting.

I am a proud Latina, that brings Mexican traditions and healing modalities into my birth practice. Following the lead of my ancestors who came before me. My mother who continues to guide my path and sharing the knowldge that was passed down to her from my maternal grandfather and his mother (my great-grandmother), who was a partera (midwife) in Mexico. Along with the training that I have invested in to expand my knowledge and education to better support my community.

Doula Certification from Birth Goddess Midwifery (2012)

Certified Bradley Method®️ instructor (2013)

Completed traditional Mexican rebozo workshops for use in pregnancy, labor, and postpartum from community ancestral wisdom keepers. (2016)
Completed an intense 9-month traditional postpartum course focused on Mexican
herbs & cerradas (closing of the bones/hips) for the postpartum birthing parent with 

Indigemama Ancestral Healing (2016)

Certified Lactation Education Specialist with Breastfeed L.A (2020)

Enrolled in Midwives College of Utah (2023)

I strive to continue my own birth education by attending workshops and trainings, which allow me to stay up to date on the most recent evidence-based birth studies, protocols, and procedures.

My purpose is to meet you where you are in your pregnancy and birthing journey. We can navigate this TOGETHER!! As a mother of 2 beautiful sons, I know firsthand how important, scary, and completely amazing this time can be. I can't wait to hear from you!
